Turning the Tables on Tragedy

New Book by Tribune Publishing

Turning the Tables on Tragedy offers a heartfelt and transparent journey into the challenges of mental illness from the perspective of a devoted Christian grandmother. As Becky witnesses her beloved grandson’s struggle, she turns first to prayer, seeking divine guidance, and then delves deep into research to find effective ways to cope and support him. Through her exploration of Scripture, she reminds readers that hope in Jesus is unwavering, regardless of the circumstances. In her research, Becky uncovers a surprising revelation: natural remedies are showing remarkable success in treating even severe mental illnesses, often surpassing the effectiveness of psychotropic medications—and without the harsh side effects. These alternative approaches are gaining traction in clinical practices worldwide, with promising results emerging from prestigious medical universities. However, this life-saving information is not yet widely known. Becky hopes this book will bring encouragement and hope to those facing their toughest battles, offering them a new perspective on healing and resilience.

About the Author

Becky has been married to her husband, a pastor, for 48 years. Just four years into their marriage, on the brink of divorce, they invited Jesus into their lives, and everything changed. This transformative experience led them to answer God’s call to ministry, a journey they’ve embraced wholeheartedly ever since. Together, they have two children and seven grandchildren. For over 41 years, Becky has faithfully served alongside her husband in ministry. They are currently ministering together at Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City, MO, where her husband serves as the outreach pastor, and Becky leads the women’s ministry.Throughout the years, Becky has authored and directed Christmas dramas for the churches they’ve served, nurturing a long-held dream of writing a children’s book. However, the demands of ministry often kept that dream on hold. It was a devastating family tragedy that propelled her into writing with a renewed sense of urgency. This book is born out of a broken heart, but it is also a testament to the unshakable hope and trust she has in the promises of God.
