The Missouri Baptist Bible Fellowship hosted its first-ever Ministry Marriage Retreat on February 18-19, 2024, at the luxurious Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing in Branson, MO. The retreat aimed to strengthen the bonds of couples involved in ministry and provide a unique platform for spiritual growth and fellowship.
The two keynote speakers, Ray Adams, a longtime professor at Baptist Bible College, and Bill Piatt, a seasoned biblical counselor, graced the event with their wisdom and insights into the challenges and joys of marriage within the ministry.
The retreat kicked off with a White River Fish House dinner on Sunday, where attendees gathered for not only delicious food but also for meaningful fellowship. Monday morning was dedicated to sessions of encouragement, teaching, and prayer, fostering a sense of community and mutual support among the participating couples.
On Monday afternoon, couples were encouraged to explore and relax and take advantage of the city of Branson during the off-season. This unique combination of spiritual enrichment and leisure allowed participants to rejuvenate their spirits and forge lasting connections. The Missouri BBF Ministry Marriage Retreat set a precedent for future events, emphasizing the importance of nurturing strong marriages within the ministry community.
