On Sunday, March 20, 2022, Granbury Baptist Church honored Lonnie and Heather Lehrman for 20 years of leadership at the church. The day was full of surprises for the Lehrmans, including special guests, video testimonies, and gifts. Administrative Pastor, Shawn Lutgen, shared, “It truly was a joy to celebrate the outstanding leadership and selfless labor of Lonnie as well as his incredibly supportive wife, Heather.” Special guests for the day included Mark Milioni, president of Baptist Bible College, Bruce O’Neal, president of MANNA Worldwide, Mike Haley, former pastor of Hallmark Baptist of Forth Worth, TX, and Jon Haley, current pastor of Hallmark Baptist Church of Fort Worth, TX.
Under the leadership of Lehrman, the Lord has grown Granbury Baptist from a group of fewer than 40 twenty years ago to now having hundreds attend and serve each week. The church has undergone multiple building projects and renovations, including a recent new auditorium, fellowship area, and adult classrooms. The church is currently debt-free.
Granbury Baptist currently supports over 90 missionaries and organizations and has planted six other churches in the surrounding communities of Granbury. This includes the most recent Spanish-speaking church in Granbury. Lehrman has shared his goal of being a part of planting 100 churches, seeing 10,000 people discipled, and giving over a million dollars per year to missions.
