Lifepoint Church of Centerton, AR and pastor Mike Brinson welcomed a group of students from Baptist Bible College April 6-8 to help with some of the final projects of their building construction. The church has been renting a store front since December 2008 but will move into their new building this summer and immediately quadruple their space. Students helped by painting interior walls and trim, wiring some electrical outlets, cleaning duct work, and landscaping. BBC student, Jordan Zeik states, “I love being able to take the blessings that we as students of BBC have been given and share them with others.” The students also served in various areas at the church on Sunday including senior Silas Thompson teaching the youth. Event organizer Randy Bates, who also serves as Director of Food Services for BBC, promoted the college and Randy Harp, Dean of Ministry Studies, preached. This is the fourth trip by a student led ministry on campus known as BBC Cares. This ministry was birthed out of BBC’s response to the Texas Hurricane’s and flooding.
