My name is Mark and I am a conservative. I am an unashamed believer in Jesus Christ. I believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God that teaches us how to live and how to get to heaven. This is what I believe and this is what we teach at Baptist Bible College, and I approve this message.
I am also an American — a proud American who believes our country is the greatest nation in the history of the world. America was founded by men seeking a country where they could worship and serve Jesus Christ. BBC was founded by men who believed in the American right of religious freedom and built a college to train people to take the Gospel around the world.
But today, we find ourselves at a critical point in our history. We are facing a presidential election that will affect the direction of our country. The leadership of our country will affect our judicial system as Supreme Court Justices are appointed, it will affect our legislative system as immoral laws are proposed and imposed, and it will affect our churches and colleges which are under pressure to succumb to very unbiblical laws and regulations.
Yet we are to stand true to God’s law over and above man’s laws.
Every day as I look at students who have come to BBC, I wonder what God will do with them in the future. Which one of them will lead a church, which one will run for office, which one will go to the darkest corner of the earth and share the light.
This next generation of leaders must engage this world with all the wisdom of Solomon, with all the doctrinal and communication abilities of Paul, and most of all, with the compassion of Jesus.
