The S4 Conference in Manila, Philippines, May 23-24, 2018, brought together over 400 leaders from all over the world. Conference host, BBFI missionary Greg Lyons, states, “It was refreshing to hear speakers from many nations who have reached hundreds of thousands with creative evangelistic efforts.” Keynote speakers were Elmer Towns, co-founder of Liberty University, Keith Gandy, BBFI missionary in Germany, John Morgan, pastor of Pinon Hills Community Church, and Greg Lyons. The conference also highlighted multi-national and younger speakers who have scaled ministry with a global footprint. These Ted Talk type of messages were given by Marc Buxton, Tarl Reeves, Jay-R Rufin, Vincent Vicencio, Tiffany Lyons, Priscilla Macadangdang, Luke Lyons, and James Macadangdang. Themes for the four sessions were scope, with an emphasis on global church planting, speak, with an emphasis on reaching a post-modern culture, sustain, with an emphasis on creating revenue streams, and scale with an emphasis on exponential growth strategies.
Another highlight of the conference was presenting 23 newly approved cross-cultural missionaries through the Global Missionary Clearinghouse during their second anniversary. This brings a total of 53 missionaries serving with GMC.
