Global Life University held its 22nd commencement exercise on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The event started with President Gregory S. Lyons announcing the launching of graduate degrees, including master’s and doctoral levels, being offered at Global Life University starting in the 2022-2023 school year. Additionally, he announced Neal Weaver as the International Chancellor. Weaver is the former president of Louisiana Baptist University in the USA.
Tim Innes from Living on the Edge with Chip Ingram gifted each student with the book A.R.T. of Survival by Chip Ingram. Pastor Antony Njoroge of Nairobi, Kenya, led the graduation in a time of prayer. The keynote speaker was Rev. Mick Bowen, former Pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Knightdale, North Carolina. The charge to the graduates was given by Global Life University USA Vice President Greg Baxter. There were 881 graduates awarded diplomas, and the valedictorian Jeziel T. Villareal was recognized and gave a speech. Honorary Doctorate in Humanities was given to Rev. Delbert and Lora Hooge for their 50 years of missions work in the Philippines, including launching the Christian School movement in the Philippines.
