In a groundbreaking event on January 12, 2024, Freeway Ministries Orlando held a powerful service within the confines of the Central Florida Reception Center, impacting the lives of 130 inmates. The service, marked by worship, preaching, testimonies, and a significant baptismal ceremony, left a lasting impression on both the incarcerated and the dedicated team of 19 individuals who went to serve.
The service, organized by Freeway Ministries Orlando in collaboration with Freeway Ministries of Sanford, witnessed the baptism of 20 inmates by Dustin Janney, the pastor of Orlando Baptist Church. The spiritual leader of Freeway Ministries International, John Stroup, delivered an inspiring sermon emphasizing the transformative power of faith and redemption.
Josh Zuniga, the director of Freeway Ministries Orlando, expressed his gratitude for the partnership with Freeway Ministries of Sanford and welcomed the team of 19 individuals who volunteered their time to minister within the prison walls. The joint effort aimed to provide spiritual support and guidance to those incarcerated, fostering an environment of hope and transformation.
During the altar call, a moving moment unfolded as numerous inmates lined up, eagerly awaiting prayers and a chance to connect with the visiting ministry team. The atmosphere was charged with a sense of anticipation and receptivity.
The service also allowed multiple guests to share their personal testimonies of extreme life change, illustrating the profound impact of faith on their lives. The stories of redemption and transformation served as a powerful testament to the potential for positive change even within the confines of a correctional facility.
