It’s been said that a baby changes everything.
I remembered this truth when our baby granddaughter came to visit. Having a baby in the house has changed everything … when we wake, sleep, work — everything. Holding her has the power to change more than just my schedule; it changes my attitude and my heart. I am her PopPop and she is one of the reasons I am at Baptist Bible College. There is nothing more important in the world than doing all I can to help prepare men and women who will share the Gospel with her and her generation. That little baby has changed our world.
I look at this world where she will grow up, and it is sobering. Our world is growing darker. Hope seems to be lost. Sound familiar?
Long ago, the world was cloaked in darkness. God had been silent for 400 years. God’s people were eagerly yearning for the long-expected Savior. While they were waiting for the Savior to arrive with great pomp and circumstance, the silence was shattered by the birth cry of a newborn son. A stable prepared to shelter sheep sheltered the Lamb of God. The world was changed forever by the birth of this one little baby, Jesus.
His birth united shepherds and kings. His life united men and women, rich and poor, slave and free. His resurrection united man with God. Our lives are changed forever. There is hope!
We believe Jesus changed the world. We believe He can do it again. When he came the first time, He changed the world Himself.This time, He is using His people to change the world.
At Baptist Bible College, we believe that if you can change a life, you can change the world. For more than 65 years Baptist Bible College has been that life-changing experience for men and women. Our students and alumni go on to change the world. The need for world changers is greater now than ever before. People in our own cities have never heard the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Who will share the hope of the Gospel with them? Who will train the next generation of world changers?
