On Sunday, August 9, Iglesia Bautista Eben-Ezer baptized 16 individuals, seven children, five youth, and four adults in an outdoor service. Ulises Longoria, along with his wife Claudia and their two children, started the church in Denton, TX, in 2018. The church is sponsored by Mid-Way Church in nearby Pilot Point, TX, pastored by John Theisen. Theisen, his wife Kim, and executive pastor, Todd Witte and his wife Amy, also attended the special baptismal service.
Since the start of the year, the church has grown approximately 50 people, many of them receiving Christ as their Savior and beginning a discipleship process. Longoria reports that over the past three months, seven people have accepted Christ as their Savior. He adds, “It is wonderful to be present when people come to Christ and are born again by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you to everyone who prays for us and supports us in many different ways.”
