On October 13th-20th, sixteen members of Christ Community Church teamed up with Manna Worldwide and their Manna missionary, Church Ward, to build a house in Rama Blanca, Guatemala for a young couple that the local church had won to Christ the year before. Christ Community Church helped to start this church and feeding center in Rama Blanca three years ago. They have helped build and wire the church for electricity in previous trips.
Jason Petermann, pastor of Christ Community Church, said, “This year, we actually have seen our relationships with the people of the village strengthen. The first day, some of the village men laughed at us as we built the house. The next day, they joined in and helped. And then that evening, many of them showed up for the very first time to the church service and heard the Gospel.”
Christ Community was also able to serve in other feeding centers and make home visits to distribute water filters and share the Gospel while they were in the country.
