Job Title: Director of Student Recruitment for Boston Baptist College
Position Purpose Statement: This full-time position supports Boston Baptist College enrollment, retention and graduation goals and establishes and administers programs for recruiting students who identify with our purpose to train students for ministry in churches or to become effective educators and business leaders.
CORE OBJECTIVES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent the College to targeted constituencies:
- Visit Christian high schools, home school associations, youth camps and churches, representing the College to groups and individual prospects.
- Meet with school counselors, administrators and other constituent groups to promote College recruiting activities.
- Work with current staff to develop presentation and promotional materials (print and video) as needed.
- Coordinate and deliver practical and workable outreach programs, event planning and marketing strategies.
Develop and maintain partnerships/relationships between the College and school systems, partnering and like-minded churches, alumni networks, community partners, and other identified groups.
Develop processes for management of prospects and admissions efforts:
- Prepare proposals and follow up reports regarding recruitment activities.
- Track communication and activity from prospect stage to enrollment.
- Manage budget for travel, recruitment activities and promotional material development.
Provide career and academic planning to potential students, utilizing specific knowledge of the College’s mission and purpose statement and educational programs:
- Interview to determine each prospect’s fit and potential for success.
- Arrange visits and tours for prospective students and parents, encouraging the prospects to attend classes and chapel services, and fostering interaction with on-campus students, to fully experience Boston Baptist College.
- Keep prospective students updated on all scholarship information available to them.
- Provide contact information for other key departments such as Financial Aid, the Office of the Registrar and Advisement.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Report directly to the College President.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Flexibility to travel by vehicle or air locally, statewide and/or out of state
- Availability to include evenings and weekends as needed
- Active membership in a local church body
Preferred experience:
- Past and proven recruiting and/or sales experience

- Strong interviewing skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
