As Jesus finishes speaking with the sinful and confused woman at the Samaritan well in John 4, the disciples arrive. They are more concerned about food, or perhaps even more about religious traditions and their reputations. They did not have their priorities in proper order. Our Lord encouraged them, and in turn us, to change focal points. Instead of fixating on the temporal, traditions, or reputations, He calls us to lift up our eyes and look.
The Global BBFI Fellowship Meeting will be held in Seoul, Korea, March 14-17, 2016. This meeting will be a time to enlarge our vision, to focus on the task at hand, and to lift up our eyes.
LOOK UPWARD: When you look and see the world, do you see it the way God sees it? Look upward and see the Lord and who He is. As the Lord of the harvest, He leads us to accomplish the great task He has given us.
LOOK OUTWARD: More than ever, by looking outward, the great need for the Gospel can be seen through the dire situation of our world. Look out and see the world — people — over 7 billion of them!
LOOK INWARD: While looking at the harvest, how do you see yourself and what God could do through you? Evangelization of the world is not a spectator activity.
LOOK FORWARD: What about the ripe harvest? People are trying everything they can to find peace and fill emptiness while searching for truth. When we align our focus and see the needs of the world, we become motivated and involved in the BBFI’s worldwide mission endeavors.
