We met Maria about seven years ago. She always thought she was good enough to get to heaven because she was a very moral person. For seven years we kept witnessing to her, but she would not give up on her belief that she was good enough. When my grandmother passed away, Maria called us and gave her condolences. She listened to Holly and me speak of the uncanny (for the world) certainty that we would see my grandmother again one day in heaven. It was that hope that kept her thinking. She called back and Holly answered the phone. Maria could not get over our 100 percent certainty that we would see my grandmother again in heaven. Holly witnessed to her again and Maria said that she knew all of this. Holly responded, "Yes, but do you believe it with all of your heart? Do you know for certain you will go to heaven when you die?" "No," was her feeble reply. Holly led Maria to the Lord in a personal heart relationship over the phone. God is good.
